“Doc, My Hand Hurts!” A CME Accredited Course Presented by The Institute for Hand Surgery
at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group

 

For over 70 years, the experienced plastic surgeons of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group have been committed to providing educational opportunities for our patients, our colleagues, and the plastic surgeons of tomorrow. As part of this commitment, the Institute for Hand Surgery at LIPSG was proud to present a continuing medical education course accredited in partnership with Nassau University Medical Center. The course, titled “Doc, My Hand Hurts!” was presented in Melville, NY on June 13th, 2018 by Roger L. Simpson, MD, MBA, FACS, Laurence T. Glickman, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), FACS, Thomas A. Davenport, MD, FACS, Brian A. Pinsky, MD, FACS, Haritha B. Veeramachaneni, MD, Michael R. Christy, MD, MA, FACS, and Alicia G. Epstein, MS, OTR, CHT.

The course was open to the public and was attended by a range of medical professionals, including family practitioners, neurologists, rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, emergency medicine physicians, physiatrists, PAs, nurses, and hand therapists. The presenters shared current approaches for diagnosis and treatment of  common conditions of the hand and upper extremities, and peripheral nerves with a focus on sharing best practices in order to streamline patient care and accurately identify emergent conditions.
